Karen Table Cloth

This table cloth exists in various colours and sizes. They all have been crafted in the Karen tribal community. The Karen, also called "Kariang" or "Yang", are the largest tribal group living in Thailand. Sgaw and Pwo Karen, the two major divisions of the group, number about 321,900 people. Karen men are skilled in making basketry.
Karen women are noted for their weaving made on simple back-strap looms. They wear a traditional blouse that is decorated with Job's tear-seeds and woven patterns. These patterns are reflected on the range of Karen products offered by Thai Tribal Crafts.
